The crisis-ridden Bundesliga soccer team 1. FC Köln is preparing for the rest of the season without a new head coach.
As the club announced on Sunday, interim coach Andre Pawlak will lead the start of training on Tuesday. Eleven days later, at the end of the first half of the season, there is the landmark home game against promoted team 1. FC Heidenheim.
The penultimate team separated from coach Steffen Baumgart on December 21st and has been looking for a successor ever since.
The fight to stay in the league is made more difficult by the fact that FC is not allowed to sign any new players in the next two transfer periods. The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) also confirmed the transfer ban imposed on the club by FIFA on December 21st.
