Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will most likely meet FC Fehervar in the playoffs for the Conference League.
Coached by Germany’s Michael Boris, Hungary clearly won the first leg 5-0 (3-0) against Moldova’s FC Petrocub-Hincesti in the third qualifying round.
The goalscorers of the team from Szekesfehervar included ex-Hertha player Pálko Dárdai, son of Pál Dárdai, and ex-Mainzer Kenan Kodro.
The second leg will take place on August 11th, the winner of the duel meets Cologne. The playoffs will be held on August 18th and 25th.
The Cologne team last competed in the 2017/18 season in the Europa Cup – at that time in the Europa League. Should the Effzeh survive the playoffs, the group phase will begin for the Bundesliga club on September 8th.
