Loan defender from FC Bayern
Bright Arrey-Mbi will turn his back on 1. FC Köln in the current transfer window – at least that’s what it looks like at the moment. According to information from Transfermarkt, the 19-year-old central defender is allowed to leave “Effzeh” because he still has no chance of playing with the professionals. Arrey-Mbi switched from FC Bayern to Cologne on loan last January, and his engagement in the cathedral city is actually planned until 2023. But that shouldn’t happen anymore.
As our editorial team has learned, Arrey-Mbi is under discussion at numerous clubs. There was and is contact with four clubs from the German 2nd division, and one representative each from the English Championship, the French Ligue 1 and the Belgian Jupiler Pro League probably have the defensive man on the list. A decision on where to go next for him has not yet been made. In all likelihood, a new loan deal will be sought. Arrey-Mbi is under contract in Munich until 2025.
