Aaron Opoku had been considered a possible winter sales candidate at 1. FC Kaiserslautern for some time. According to recent media reports, a farewell to the winger, who moved from HSV to Betzenberg in 2022, is getting closer and closer. The rumors about a move to the MLS are particularly hot.

Because according to “Sky” transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, the offensive player has agreed on a move with MLS club St. Louis City SC. A farewell to Opuku, whose contract in the Palatinate expires in the summer, is imminent. However, it is still unclear whether the clubs can agree on a transfer fee for the winger.

According to Plettenberg, an initial offer for Opoku has already been received from 1. FC Kaiserslautern. This should provide for a transfer fee of around 250 to 350,000 euros. However, a decision as to whether this offer will be accepted is still pending. If the FCK doesn’t accept, the former German U20 international will probably move across the pond in the summer.
