Comes from SC Paderborn
1. FC Kaiserslautern has secured its fourth new signing for the coming season. As the Palatinate announced on Friday, Richmond Tachie comes from SC Paderborn. No information was given on the contract length of the center forward and native of Berlin. The 24-year-old was tied to the SCP until June 2024.
Tachie switched from BVB II to Ostwestfalen in 2022 and played 19 games over just 405 minutes. “Richmond is a very well-trained striker who can play all positions offensively. We want to accompany him in his next development steps. He’s an absolute team player and gives us more variability on the offensive,” said FCK Managing Director Thomas Hengen.
“1. FC Kaiserslautern is an unbelievable club with really great fans. I’ve already played twice on the Betze and I’m already looking forward to playing as the Red Devil from now on. My goal is to help the team and have a successful season,” said Tachie after his transfer within the second division.
