In search of reinforcements for the second half of the season, the 1st FC Kaiserslautern could use the direct competition. An ex-talent of FC Schalke 04 should be targeted by the red devil.

As “Reviersport” reports, the 1. FC Kaiserslautern extends the sensors to Jason Ceka from FC Magdeburg. SV Elversberg and third division team Rot-Weiss Essen are called other interested parties.

The contract of the right wing in Magdeburg is only dated until the end of the season. A possible transfer can therefore be manageable.

In the current season, Ceka under coach Christian Titz hardly plays a role. Only three league games are available. Finally, the 25-year-old was not even in the FCM squad several times.

In the past season, Ceka had been part of the extended regular staff. Seven templates and a hit were in 2023/2024.

The attacker played for FC Schalke 04 and Rot-Weiss Essen in youth. However, he did not make the breakthrough with the professionals of the royal blue. He played 70 games for the concise reserve, in which he scored 20 goals and contributed nine assists.

CEKA has been running for the 1st FC Magdeburg since summer 2021. In April 2023 he had extended his contract.

In addition to Ceka, central defender Maxwell Gyamfi from VfL Osnabrück was also traded at the 1st FC Kaiserslautern.

According to “Bild”, it is already clear that the 25-year-old will switch to the second division in the summer. His contract in Osnabrück expires. Lautern now try to get rid of Gyamfi in winter.

Three new additions to the 1. FC Kaiserslautern

So far, Lautern has been able to report Grant-Leon Ranos, Faride Alidou and Simon Simoni.

Ranos was loaned by Borussia Mönchengladbach. Alidou von Eintracht Frankfurt broke off his loan to the Italian Serie-A-Club Hellas Verona prematurely and instead changes firmly to Kaiserslautern.

A similar scenario took place at Simoni, who was awarded to the Red Devil after a break from Ingolstadt from Eintracht Frankfurt.
