Second division football team 1. FC Kaiserslautern will have to do without their top goalscorer Ragnar Ache “in the near future”. The FCK announced this on Monday evening.
Ache, who has already scored six goals in ten games this season, suffered a ligament injury in the 3-4 defeat against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday.
In stoppage time in the first half, the 25-year-old sprained his left foot after a header duel and had to be substituted.
Before that, Ache was involved in a sensational situation: while celebrating Kaiserslautern’s 3-0 lead, a plastic bottle hit him in the head.
The game in Düsseldorf was then interrupted for minutes, but not canceled. The FCK also announced on Monday that it would not protest against the game ranking.
