A car exploded right in front of the entrance to the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day. The driver has died, local media report. Seven people were also reportedly injured by the explosion. There were heavy fireworks in the Cybertruck, which, according to news channel ‘ABC’, were so-called mortars. US President Joe Biden said during a press conference that the FBI is investigating whether there are possible links between the attack in New Orleans and the explosion in Las Vegas. The police have now found out who rented the car, but are not yet sure whether that is the same person who was also in the car when the vehicle exploded.
