Bart De Wever did not just go to Berlin yesterday to talk about Palestine. He also wanted to convince the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz that the stiff Einsteintelescoop belongs in the border area between Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. That underground telescope should not only open a “new window on the universe”, but also be good for 1.5 billion euros for Flanders, in addition to thousands of jobs.
