Past: Ajax – sc Heerenveen 1-1
Past Feyenoord – FC Volendam 3-1 (FEY-VOL)
Live: Telstar – Excelsior 2-1 (TEL-EXC)
Telstar captain Danny Bakker takes responsibility. He just drives the ball over. It therefore remains 2-1 in Velsen-Zuid.
Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp, the man of the match at Telstar, is knocked out by Rick Meissen. Referee Martin van de Kerkhof is decisive and points to the spot.
Can Telstar hold on to its lead? The second half has started.
Milan Zonneveld thinks he can score immediately after ten seconds. The attacker only shoots the ball into the side net. Shame.
It’s over. FC Volendam loses 3-1 to Feyenoord.
There will be at least another five minutes in De Kuip. It is important for FC Volendam to finish the match.
Then there is the decision. Ayase Ueda heads home from a free kick and gives Feyenoord the final victory against Volendam.
A lot of players die at Feyenoord. Volendam looks much fitter in the final phase. There is still time for a final offensive.
The penalty is hit. Arthur Zagré is the maker of the penalty and ensures the connection of the Rotterdam team just before half time.
Excelsior has come out dangerous on several occasions. Ronald Koeman Jr. keeps his goal clean and has just made a wonderful save.
There may be a penalty for Excelsior. Hands from Telstar have been seen, but a violation also appears to have been committed. Referee Martin van de Kerkhof goes to the VAR screen. Penalty kick is awarded.
We enter the last fifteen minutes and FC Volendam can still hope for a result. They are only 2-1 behind and Feyenoord just can’t get the third in. Kruys’ team is waiting for that one moment…
Another moment for Henk Veerman, but this time it doesn’t hit. It squeaks and creaks at Feyenoord because of that minimal score.
Telstar is 2-0 against Excelsior! During a beautiful tribute from Paddy, Tyrone Owusu shoots the second goal against the ropes.
It is mainly thanks to Telstar and goalkeeper Stijn van Gassel that the score is still 1-0. The White Lions already have plenty of opportunities to score more goals, but fail to expand the margin.
Van Oevelen stops Hadj Moussa’s long shot, after which Hwang does not get the ball between the posts. If Feyenoord continues to play so leisurely, Volendam has a chance of more.
FC Volendam gives something back against Feyenoord. Henk Veerman taps the ball in at the far post from a cross from Aurelio Oehlers. It’s exciting again in De Kuip.
However, Ayase Ueda does not head the ball into the goal. There is immediately a double substitution at Volendam. Meijers and Ideho and they replace Leliendal and Esajas. Feyenoord also changes. Former Volendammer Smal makes way for Lotomba. Hwang comes for Timber.
The entire stadium wants a penalty after a hard shot by Devon Koswal. Referee Martin van de Kerkhof waves it away and the VAR agrees.
And now also Henk Veerman who becomes dangerous with his head, but his header goes wide.
Just like in the first half, the first chance after the break is also for Ayase Ueda. He heads wide from Luciano Valente’s cross.
The second half has started. No substitutions at Feyenoord or FC Volendam.
What a start for Telstar. Patrick Brouwer, who returns to the starting line-up, passes the ball well and Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp slides the ball in.
Can Telstar get three points again? The match against Excelsior has started.
One-sided first half in which FC Volendam was not involved. Feyenoord completely dominated the game and scored twice.
FC Volendam must hold on for at least two more minutes in the first half. Feyenoord still leads comfortably.
Towards the end of the first half the first corner kick for Volendam. The team has quite a bit of length, but there is no heading opportunity
Sem Steijn puts Feyenoord 2-0 on a pass from Leo Sauer. FC Volendam cannot offer anything in return in the first half hour.
It was inevitable. The home team opens the scoring and Ueda scores from a cross from Givairo Read.
Kayne van Oevelen saves with his foot on a big chance for Ayase Ueda. Earlier, the keeper also saved a shot from Luciano Valente.
Can FC Volendam surprise in De Kuip? We have started.
A header chance for Feyenoord. Ayase Ueda heads just over the goal.
Galatasaray did not get further than 0-0 against Trabzonspor. Ajax’s upcoming opponent in the Champions League thought they would score twice, but both goals were ruined.
It is only the second time this competition that the Istanbul team has lost points. The city derby against Besiktas ended in a 1-1 draw at the beginning of October. The Turks have already won twice in the first three matches of the Champions League.
It remains 1-1 between Ajax and sc Heerenveen. Already the fifth draw in the Premier League for the Amsterdam team this season. Remko Pasveer’s slip will be fatal for the team.
Ajax therefore remains fourth in the Premier League. AZ can play against Sparta Rotterdam tomorrow and FC Groningen can still take over fourth place. Galatasaray awaits in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Ajax wants a penalty after Oscar Gloukh appears to shoot at the hands of defender Vasilios Zagaritis. Seems, as the replay shows it’s not hands. Good decision by the referee.
Now Jorthy Mokio and Anton Gaaei are filling in for the Amsterdam team. Owen Wijndal and Youri Regeer, who returned to the starting line-up, are leaving.
It is the same in the Johan Cruijff Arena. A long shot from Maas Willemsen is not properly saved by experienced goalkeeper Remko Pasveer. It was then a piece of cake for striker Václav Sejk to score the 1-1 goal.
Ajax’s game was again disappointing in the second half. The Amsterdam team has a lot of ball possession, but doesn’t do enough with it. This gives Oscar Gloukh plenty of time to take action. His shot is saved by goalkeeper Bert Kalverboer.
Isabel Grevelt did not manage to qualify for the 500 meters for the World Cups. The skater from Petten fell just short of finishing in the top five in the second round. Angel Daleman goes to the World Cups in fifth place.
Will Ajax hold on to the lead in the second half? We started again in Amsterdam.
It is calm in Amsterdam, where Ajax is still ahead. The game was not great, but it is 1-0 through Mika Godts. The match was halted for a while after a temporary strike due to fireworks.
Ko Itakura fumbles in Ajax’s defense and Jacob Trenskow takes over. Owen Wijndal intervenes at the right time and the Amsterdam team gets away very well.
Ajax then takes the lead against Heerenveen. After a failed move by Oscar Gloukh, Mika Godts gets the ball and hits the target: 1-0. Is this the push Ajax needs?
Through Owen Wijndal, Raúl Moro gets the perfect opportunity to break the spell. To the surprise of the entire stadium, the Spaniard does not shoot the ball into the goal. The foot of a Heerenveen defender stops the bet.
The match was stopped for just over ten minutes due to the strike. We now move on.
Many fireworks are set off to commemorate Paddy’s commemoration. The arrows flew towards the field, after which referee Jannick van der Laan decided to temporarily stop.
This is perhaps the most spectacular yet. In terms of field play, it was very disappointing from both sides. Especially after Ajax’s penalty, which was reversed.
After a good action by Kenneth Taylor, the Ajax captain is knocked down by Sam Kersten in the box. The referee initially points to the penalty spot.
The VAR calls the referee to the screen to take a look for himself. He judges it to be a scam from Taylor. So no penalty.
Ajax can’t figure it out yet in the opening phase. Heerenveen dominates offensively without creating big opportunities. In the most exciting moment so far, Luuk Brouwers asks for a penalty. Kenneth Taylor holds on, but referee Jannick van der Laan waves it away.
Can Ajax maintain the good feeling against FC Twente against Heerenveen? The ball rolls for the first time in Amsterdam!
Isabel Grevelt has so far fallen short in the 500 meters. The skater from Petten finished in eighth place in the first round: 37.959. She is the best North Holland rider so far at this distance.
Ajax scored fifteen points against SC Heerenveen in the last five meetings at home:
11-08-2024 | Ajax – sc Heerenveen: 1-0
05-11-2023 | Ajax – sc Heerenveen: 4-1
10-09-2022 | Ajax – sc Heerenveen: 5-0
11-05-2022 | Ajax – sc Heerenveen: 5-0
18-10-2020 | Ajax – sc Heerenveen: 5-1
The match was played 33 times, of which the Amsterdam team won 26 times. Heerenveen only took the full spoils 3 times. The last time was in 2008/09 under Marco van Basten.
