AZ beats Ajax at home for the third consecutive season. The Alkmaarders deservedly won 2-1 thanks to goals from Troy Parrott and Mayckel Lahdo. Mika Godts’ goal was not enough. It is Ajax’s first competition defeat since August.
Due to the defeat, Ajax holds onto second place with 33 points, but FC Utrecht can take over that place from Ajax this afternoon. AZ is still sixth in the Premier League after the victory.
