Cup football on Tuesday evening with Telstar, which has traveled to the province of Zeeland for the meeting against HSV Hoek, leaders in the second division. The AFC amateurs are also still in the cup tournament. The Amsterdammers will receive premier league player NEC at their own Sportpark Goed Genoeg.

ENDED: HSV Hoek – Telstar 1-4
8 p.m.: AFC – NEC 1-3

After NEC’s 1-3, Melvin Platje can come on. The attacker replaces Gevero Markiet. Platje played for NEC for two years and is in his last months as a player for AFC.

The decision is there right away. Substitute Basar Onal shoots the ball towards the far corner and Shiogai Kento gets a foot into it. The Japanese striker ensures that NEC will reach the next round with his second goal.

What bad luck for AFC who still conceded the late goal. Guus van Weerdenburg clumsily loses the ball and Kento Shiogai goes alone to the goalkeeper and makes no mistake.

The last fifteen minutes of this match have begun. NEC is stronger than AFC, but the Amsterdam team does not shy away from attacking. We just have to hope for that one pinprick from AFC that will be just right. Or are we going to extend?

Hoek immediately hits back. The Zeelanders score the 1-3. Gertjan Martens can tap in free of charge.

Just before that, there was a change at Telstar. Danny Bakker and Tyrone Owusu have been replaced by Nigel Ogidi Nwankwo and Mohamed Hamdaoui.

The decision has been made in Zeeland. Telstar gets into a nice spot just outside the penalty area. Guurs Offerhaus shoots the ball into Hoek’s goal with a difficult bounce. The first victory since October 29 is coming. Telstar also played in the KNVB Cup and the team defeated FC Lisse.

After a mistake by Hoek, Patrick Brouwer can easily take the ball into the penalty area. The maker of the second Telstar goal shoots the ball into the hands of the goalkeeper, while there was much more to it.

And once again Ronald Koeman Jr takes a long shot from Rousseau De Lefevre Poorter.

NEC has already been dangerous a number of times in the second half. During the last attempt by the Nijmegen team, Bradley Martis takes the ball off the line. AFC must be careful not to fall behind.

Din Sula hits the ball at Telstar’s goal, but Ronald Koeman Jr prevents the home team’s tying goal with an excellent save.

Telstar does business immediately after the break. An excellent attack that starts with goalkeeper Ronald Koeman Jr. ends with Patrick Brouwer who slides the ball in from a cross from Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp. This is like a blow that the team of trainer Anthony Correia deals to the amateurs.

AFC held up more than well in the first act against the number four of the Premier League.

Telstar gets away well in injury time. A huge opportunity for Hoek is first blocked and on the rebound the ball flies just over the goal of the Velsen premier league player. Then it’s rest.

Another good attack from AFC on the right flank with the emerging Indy Lee. The defender passes the ball to occasional striker Gévero Markiet, who in turn passes the ball to Noach Schenkman. The Schenkman who came along gets a tap from a NEC defender, but referee Stan Teuben does not see a penalty, to the dismay of the home crowd. There is no VAR here either!

Hoek player Sylvio Hage shoots the ball straight into the hands of Ronald Koeman Jr. It is still 0-0 in Zeeland after half an hour of football.

Noa Benninga puts a free kick at the far post where Bruce Lücke heads the ball back towards the first post. There is defender Sven Ederveen to head the ball in

Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp tries with a nice long shot. This is tapped out of the intersection by Hoek’s goalkeeper. The corner that follows yields nothing.

AFC brutally attacks the right flank with Indy Lee. The full-back puts the ball back to Radjenio Fonseca, who doesn’t quite get it right and lifts the ball over the bar. This was really a great opportunity for the equalizer for the Amsterdam team.

Hoek’s amateurs score, but the goal is disallowed because Koeman Jr. is blocked in the goalmouth

After a good start by the home team, Telstar now has possession of the ball. However, that has not yet resulted in an opportunity. Danny Bakker has already easily received a yellow card after a serious foul.

Goalkeeper Gijs van Zetten cannot continue. His duel is over in five minutes. Daniël Nolet is his replacement.

Not a good start for AFC, which immediately had to concede a goal. A turning cross from Roberto Gonzalez is not touched by anyone and ends up behind AFC goalkeeper Gijs van Zetten.

HOW-TEL | 1′ Telstar has kicked off
AFC-NEC | 1′ The ball rolls at Sportpark Goed Genoeg

The match against Telstar is already the fourth of this season for the amateurs of Hoek. The team trained by former professional Gérard de Nooijer won in the qualification against Rijnvogels (6-4) and Blauw Geel (1-0). In the first round of the main tournament, the Zeelanders eliminated FC Eindhoven after extra time. It became 3-2.

Telstar won convincingly against FC Lisse 5-0 in the previous round. Milan Zonneveld was the great man of that match; he scored a hat trick!

NEC will play its third match in a row in our province tonight. The past two matches in the Premier League, NEC played at FC Volendam and at Telstar at Sportpark Schoonenberg.

In Velsen-Zuid, NEC retained a point in the game against Telstar. The score was 2-2 thanks to two goals from Jeff Hardeveld. A week earlier, FC Volendam also seemed to hold the Nijmegen team to a 2-2 draw, but in the final minute Kento Shiogai scored the winning goal.

We are at the start of what will hopefully be a great cup week. With Hoek – Telstar and AFC – NEC tonight. Tomorrow Ajax will play against Excelsior Maassluis and on Thursday it will be the turn of FC Volendam, which wants to advance to the next cup round at the expense of Genemuiden.
