Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky will address the UN Security Council on Tuesday, he said in his daily video message. In the video, Zelensky also discussed the massacre in Butja. “I emphasize that we want the most complete, transparent research, the results of which will be known by the entire international community.”
More than 330 bodies of civilians have since been recovered in Butya, a city northwest of Kiev, according to authorities. They are said to have been killed by retreating Russian soldiers, some with tied hands. The Kremlin has vehemently denies having anything to do with it, claiming that Ukraine created the images as part of a Western plot to blacken Russia.
