Werder Bremen: Buchanan probably a candidate for loan – Darmstadt 98 with an interest in Dinkci

Quote from Chillinsun

I think it’s a shame in Bremen that the young players aren’t thrown in at the deep end and prefer to lend them out and hope that they’ll come back standing.

Of course you don’t want to put the young players under too much pressure and build up slowly.
I think he could have played for Jung next season and Jung as a backup.

If Mittelstadt should come and Buchanan be lent,
Jung stops after that and he comes back is just like before or will be sold.
As with Heidenheim’s best.
Well wait and see sometimes borrowing is good too.
Hope Ninjimah catches on.

In any case, Bremen will do everything to set up a squad that will or should hold the class.

Wait.

Especially in defence, it’s a shame what talent we have on the bench that doesn’t get a chance at all.

Veljkovic and Friedl have always been good for a goal since the second half of the season at the latest, too far away from the men and the like, a youngster just not fast enough for the intended role and Chiarodia and Buchanan sit out there on the bench week after week, learning nothing and we still don’t get any results.

I actually find the squad planning more frustrating. It’s been really, really bad for years. Young players with potential or loan players who are returning are not even considered as rotation players, but rather given away, loaned out again or let go free of charge.

If you think about it, we sold J.Eggestein in order to get Ducksch, who we still had to bang on because Hannover knew exactly that we didn’t have a striker anymore and Assale actually lent them a year’s salary for the stands got a seat.

Instead of giving a Nawrocki playing time (who then played at Legia Warsaw EL and is now an absolute regular at a potential CL club), they preferred to lend him a cheap purchase option and borrowed him from Bayern in May. He didn’t perform and even if he had performed, you wouldn’t have had anything of it after a year.

A best man was sold to Heidenheim at the beginning of the season just so that he could carry the promotion. Significantly, since a player was needed, Buchanan was brought in as a substitute, but he didn’t get any playing time at all.

I really don’t understand Baumann’s tactics of not training players for years or getting them for money and then selling them off or giving them away just before they are ready to play and then getting players who cost a fee and/or earnest money, and probably get even more salary and then just don’t play a role.

Personal highlights for me are the transfers from a Salifou who wasn’t even a regular player with the Augsburg youth team or from a park who was suddenly presented as a great LV talent in test matches against some 4th and 5th division teams.
