Captain Christopher Trimmel from Bundesliga soccer club Union Berlin has been suspended for two games after his red card in the game at RB Leipzig (0-2). This was decided by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB). Union agreed to the verdict.
Trimmel hit national player David Raum with a tackle on the ankle in the 73rd minute on Sunday and was sent off by referee Marco Fritz. The right-back will therefore miss the important games at Mainz 05 on Wednesday (6:30 p.m./DAZN) and against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky).
