Turbine Potsdam is strengthening for the new season with the Israeli international Noa Selimhodzic (18). The attacking player made eight appearances for AC Milan in Italy’s top flight last season.
The midfielder has played twelve international matches for her home country. She scored her first goal in the national jersey in June in the World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria (2-0).
“I’m very happy to be here,” Selimhodzic was quoted as saying in a club statement on Wednesday: “I know that the Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world and I’m ready to develop further. It will be different, but I’m ready for it.”
The women from Potsdam did not provide any information about the term of the contract. Selimhodciz originally had a contract in Milan until 2024, but was then listed without a club on the women’s soccer portal “soccerdonna.de” from the summer.

After Irena Kuznezov, Selimhodzic is the second player from Israel in the current squad of the women’s Bundesliga. “I am very happy that I can play in a club with my best friend Irena. It’s a dream come true for me.” Selimhodzic is the ninth new signing for the team headed by new coach Sebastian Middeke. On the other hand, there are eleven departures, mostly from top performers.
