Trans woman Noa-Lynn from Leuven to the Darts Championship: ‘I’m just a woman who can play darts well’

“I wouldn’t want to be without that job. Doing my thing in the kitchen is really my other great love. No, I’m not afraid of cutting myself, haha. And I do everything with my right hand, both cutting and throwing.”

The tournament starts tomorrow, Noa-Lynn will fly to England on Monday. Her best friend Suzanne is traveling with her, her mother is coming to the United Kingdom on Tuesday to see her daughter throw in the darts mecca: Alexandra Palace. In that entourage full of costumed, beer-drinking and hustling darts fans, the Beverwijk native must be able to hold his own. If she wins in the first round, former world champion Michael Smith will be waiting on Thursday. Again, as down-to-earth as she is: “She hasn’t really been in great shape lately, so who knows?”
