Toni Söderholm is the new head coach of top club Bern, reports the Swiss newspaper Blick.
Söderholm, who piloted the German national team in recent years, follows the Swedish coach who was fired on November 5 behind the Bern bench Johan Lundskog.
According to Blick, due to the high demand, there were five coaches at the end, of which Söderholm was the longest running coach.
Bern is a familiar place for Söderholm, 44, from his playing career in 2005–07.
After 20 games played, Bern is sixth in the Swiss league with a balance of 11 wins and 9 losses.
