Botic van de Zandschulp and the duo Wesley Koolhof and Matwé Middelkoop eventually took the victory: 2-1.
Daniël Evans made it 4-4 and then took the first set: 6-4. Tallon Dikkerpoor was able to keep up well in the second set until 3-3, after which the Briton ran out to 5-4 and 6-4.
It was then up to Botic van de Zandschulp to equalize the score. He therefore had to beat Cameron Norrie, the number 8 in the world. The tennis player from Amsterdam started well and won the first set (6-4). Van de Zandschulp then broke loose and quickly ran out to 6-2, making it 1-1.

The duo Wesley Koolhof and Matwé Middelkoop then had to get the job done. That seemed like a difficult task against Andy Murray and Joe Salisbury. In the tiebreak, after a score of 6-6, the Dutch duo struck hard: 7-0. The second set also ended in a tiebreak, but the British were stronger this time: 8-6. Koolhof/Middelkoop won the last set by a margin: 6-3. As a result, the Orange squad won the game against Great Britain.
After two group matches, the Netherlands has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup Finals. America is the last opponent in the group on Saturday afternoon, the stake is the group win. After that, the Orange squad can prepare for the knockout phase, which will be played at the end of November.
