Toni Kroos regularly records the podcast “Einfach mal Luppen” with his brother Felix. So also on Thursday. In the current episode, however, he couldn’t resist a dig at Schalke 04: “Ed Sheeran did something I’ve rarely seen: that people went home from the stadium happy after an event at Schalke.”
The musician was in Gelsenkirchen last week for his tour, his performance took place in the Ruhrpottklub stadium. And he knew how to counter. Schalke posted a video of Simon Terodde on Twitter. The striker gives an interview after a game last season. The club wrote: “At least we can give cool interviews after the final whistle.”
An allusion to the conversation that Toni Kroos had with ZDF reporter Nils Kaben after winning the Champions League. Kroos found his questions inappropriate and told him: “You’ve had 90 minutes to think about sensible questions, honestly. And now you’re asking me two shitty questions. I think that’s crazy!”. After that he stopped the interview.
