The winner of Maikkar’s hit show Finland’s most beautiful home has been chosen. The winning home of the program was found in Kajaani this year.
The most beautiful home of 2022 is a log house built in 1830. The house combines both old and new style, which charmed the voters.
Jury members reporter Hanna Sumari, interior architect Tero Pennanen and architect Sini Rainio got to know 30 different homes around Finland, from which they chose the final ten. Viewers cast more than 15,000 votes.

Lilli Norio and Olli Saastamoinen the family home received full marks from the judges, while it garnered 26.8 percent of the votes from the viewers. Norio says that the victory came as a surprise.
– I did believe that people would like our home, but we were a bit pessimistic – not disappointed. Now I feel really happy, proud and joyful, says Norio.

– Our feeling has been transmitted to people through the TV screen, Saastamoinen describes in the press release.
The winners will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros to make new interior design dreams come true. Norio and Saastamoinen say they know where to invest their money.
The couple and their family have bought a summer place in Oulunjärvi.
– Its renovation will take a big slice. In addition, we will go on a trip to celebrate the victory. And it would be nice to organize dinner parties for the group who have been involved in building this home, the couple says.
