Premier League star Jamaal Lascelles was attacked in Newcastle, UK on Sunday, reports Daily Mail.
Newcastle had received from their coach From Eddie Howe two days off after the defeat against Manchester City.
Lascelles was spending the evening out with his little brother and a friend. When the party had left the nightclub called Chinawhite, the man elbowed Lascelles’ 19-year-old brother in the throat. According to an eyewitness, the Newcastle captain pushed the man away after the punch.
According to the Daily Mail, a bottle of vodka was thrown at Lascelles, narrowly missing his head. After that, six to eight men attacked the 29-year-old topper, hitting Lascelles from every corner.
Lascelles reportedly threw one of the men to the ground, but his brother was punched in the face. Lascelles’ friend was kicked in the head and knocked unconscious. During the scene, the men threatened to shoot Lascelles.

A video circulating on social media showshow Lascelles initially tries to protect his brother, but he is hit in the face from a “blind spot”, to which Lascelles responded with fists.
According to Daily Mail sources, Lascelles constantly tried to protect his brother and defended himself.
The attackers fled the scene before the first aid and the police arrived. Lascelles’ friend was taken to hospital and was feared dead at the scene. He was unconscious for 15 minutes while paramedics treated him.
Police have interviewed a friend of Lascelles, but no arrests have yet been made. Newcastle are aware of what happened and have also seen the video mentioned above. The club said it would deal with the matter internally.
Lascelles joined Newcastle in 2014. He has represented the club in 225 matches and captained the team since 2016.
