Demanding tasks await the Eisbären Berlin in the Champions Hockey League (CHL).
In the preliminary round of the European Ice Hockey Cup, the German champions will meet four-time CHL winners Frölunda HC from Gothenburg, the top Czech team Mountfield HK from Hradec-Králové and the French champions Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble. That was the result of the group draw on Wednesday in Tampere, Finland.
The preliminary round of the 2022/23 CHL season will be played from September 1st to October 12th. The exact dates of the games have not yet been determined. The top two teams in each group qualify for the round of 16.
