From 2023 to 2026, the Netherlands will invest an extra three million euros annually in the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI). CEPI is an international partnership established in 2017 to contribute to vaccine development for emerging infectious diseases. This contribution of €12 million to CEPI comes on top of an earlier Dutch contribution of €50 million. In addition, the government is investing another €10 million in an international fund for pandemic control. Minister Ernst Kuipers of Health, Welfare and Sport announced this during the G20 summit in Indonesia.
