Petri Kontiola went to the Minnesota treatment for drug addicts after the second season. He sobered up and the cap remained closed, but now it has opened again, it appears In an interview with Ilta-Sanomi.
– The cap has not stayed closed. We practice that too. That thing was mainly about me needing therapy more than anything else. Of course, I don’t recommend alcohol to anyone. You noticed it when I was without for more than a year. At least it didn’t hurt, Kontiola told IS.
He told IS that he consumes alcohol in moderation.
– Of course you have to use common sense. A lot of information came out (in treatment). Now, if someone asks about it, of course I’ll talk about it, but I won’t start gossiping about anything to anyone. What I’m saying is that I should have done the same thing earlier. I’m trying to live better now, says Kontiola.
Kontiola ended his long playing career last season, when he celebrated the Finnish championship in a Tappara shirt.
The Finn had already had time to end his playing career after the second season, but returned to the league bowl from his retirement days in the middle of the season.
This season, he has worked as an expert in MTV’s SM league broadcasts.
Kontiola played 30 matches last season and scored 4+18=22. 10 more power points were created in the playoffs.
