Telekom Baskets Bonn still in top form

The Telekom Baskets Bonn have impressively underlined their top form in the basketball league.

The second in the table clearly won against the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim in an early game of the 29th matchday with 101:83 (62:44) and after the sixth success in a row with a record of 19:2 victories is in second place behind leader Alba Berlin ( 18:1) strengthened. After the fifth defeat in a row, Crailsheim is getting deeper and deeper into the relegation battle.

Without the returnee Javontae Hawkins, who was signed from France this week, the hosts dominated the game from the start. Already after the first quarter the favorite led by ten points (32:22).

Former Crailsheim playmaker TJ Shorts made the difference before the break with 14 points and 12 assists and played a major role in Bonn’s clear 62:44 half-time lead.

Baskets coach Tuomas Iisalo relied on professionals who were not part of the starting line-up against his ex-club during the game. But that didn’t change anything about the sovereign success.

The best shooters for Bonn, along with TJ Shorts (17 points/15 assists), were Sebastian Herrera (12) and Deane Williams (11). All eleven Baskets players used also scored points.
