Sports tourism does not stop growing and with more and more municipalities seeking to work with organizers of this type of event to join an activity that generates millionaire income and a more than important tourist movement. One of the cases is Commodore Rivadavia that next to TMX Team gave life to Commodore Ultra Trail.
Commodore Ultra Trail It is not just a mountain race organized with the support of the Commodore Tourism Entityis a different way of getting to know magical and unforgettable corners of a city that has the particularity of having hills like the Salamanca Peak (576 masl), a few meters from the sea, to which most of the runners will climb and from where they can enjoy a unique and incomparable view.
The first edition of the race already has a date and open enrollment. It will be held on February 19, 2023, an important day for the city since the Carnival in Rocas Coloradas. And it has four distances 10, 21, 42 and 80 kilometers. and was presented by Sergio Ochoageneral director of the race and founding partner of TMXTeam; Alexander Lucini, Race Technical Director; and the city’s mayor, Juan Pablo Luque, among others.
Commodore Ultra Trail will be developed in the protected natural area “Colored Rocks”a masterpiece of nature that rises between the Patagonian steppe and the sea coast, covering an area of 587 km2, on the mainland, and 352 km2 of the marine area.
What is special about Rocas Coloradas?
Red Rocks it is an untouched terracotta paradise. It is characterized by its extreme natural beauty and its archaeological value. It combines flattened plateaus and terraces, desert aridity and the immensity of the sea. It brings together a great diversity of coastal vegetation and fauna, a petrified forest with remains of coniferous trunks over 60 million years old and the presence of remains of paleocene palm trees and colony of sea lions of a hair.
