First seasonal success for the Swiss in the specialty of which he is the absolute dominator. Kristoffersen remains Cup leader, De Aliprandini sixth after a super comeback
In Val d’Isere, under a heavy snowfall, the lord of the giant has returned: between the wide gates of the Face de Bellevarde, Marco Odermatt wins the race – second success of the season, but first in the specialty in which he has been absolute dominator since 2022 – after a painful second run. For just 8 cents the Swiss champion beat the Austrian Patrick Feurstein, who was twenty-fourth at the end of the first heat. On the podium the other Austrian Stefan Brennsteiner. Very tight race with thirteen athletes in less than a second.

The 34-year-old Italian was the protagonist with a brilliant second heat: thanks to the sixth partial time he recovered nine positions compared to the first race, finishing sixth overall. Overall Cup leader Henrik Kristoffersen remains, but the Norwegian made a mistake in the second heat, climbing from second to fifth, although only 24 hundredths of a second from the leader. Fourth was Luca Aerni, who recovered twenty-four positions compared to the first heat: the snowfall, which increased the intensity compared to the morning, and the bumps on the track significantly complicated the track, allowing notable comebacks. Even our Giovanni Borsotti was able to take advantage of the low bib of the second heat to climb from 27th to 13th at 99 hundredths from Odermatt, while both Meillard and Zubcic paid for the carelessness on the bumps, ninth and tenth in the race after losing six and three positions respectively. The last Italian qualified for the second heat, Hannes Zingerle, was twenty-fourth.
