National player Satou Sabally led her team Dallas Wings in the WNBA professional basketball league to their opening win in the playoffs with a record. The Berliner scored 32 points in a 92:84 win against the Atlanta Dream in the quarterfinals, setting a play-off record for the Wings.
The 25-year-old also had five rebounds and four assists and four steals each. The Wings can win the best-of-three series on Tuesday (local time).
Sabally has had a remarkable main round. She averaged 18.6 points, had her first 40-point game at the Indiana Fever (110:100) earlier this month and was in the All-Star Game for the second time.
However, her younger sister Nyara Sabally has the better chance of winning the title with New York Liberty, which took second place in the main round and won the opening game in the quarterfinals with 90:75 against the Washington Mystics. However, the 23-year-old was not used and has played a supporting role so far this season.
