,,Unfortunately, I can only accept that I am out of the selection. I will continue to give everything for the fans of Club Brugge and hope to get the respect I deserve,” Vormer wrote on Instagram yesterday. The former player of AZ, Roda JC and Feyenoord has been active at Club Brugge since 2014, with which he became champion five times and in 2017 the Dutchman even won the Golden Shoe in Belgium.
The situation is now completely different. The new coach Carl Hoefkens, successor to Alfred Schreuder, no longer needs Vormer, partly due to the arrival of Casper Nielsen from Union Sint-Gillis. I don’t know what’s going on or what’s going on.”
Hoefkens himself said in front of the camera of Eleven Sports that he still has a good relationship with Vormer: ,,At the moment my relationship with Ruud is healthy. And I’m pretty sure it is for him too. I think they (Hoefkens also spoke about Jack Hendry and Eder Balanta, ed.) clearly know their situation. It is different for all three. But I won’t come back to that right before the game. They know where they stand and what the reason is.”
