Patricia Paay believes the rumor that Rob Kemps does indeed not come up with his questions himself in the talk show De 10 Questions. She was his guest and is not convinced. “It couldn’t have come from him!”
Rob Kemps could be seen daily this week with his interview show De 10 Questions on SBS 6; tonight is the last episode with Patricia Paay as main guest. What does she think of Yvonne Coldeweijer’s rumor that the presenter doesn’t come up with his questions at all, but gets them whispered through an earpiece?
Patricia demolishes Rob
That’s right, Patricia thinks. She says in the latest episode of HLF8: “They say: ‘You were chosen by Rob Kemps. He would like to interview you’, so I was really looking forward to it and I think: that will be fun, because it is of course a Snollebolleke and everything. So I think: yes, well, that will be laughable, and to the right!”
But none of that, says the television diva. “It actually got very serious. Actually so serious that I thought: they can’t get rid of you. I thought that was a bit weird. Those questions don’t come from you, I thought. But he did very well.”
‘It was so serious’
Patricia doesn’t trust Rob. “I just couldn’t imagine it. It was so serious and he rambled on. Just ramble on and ask more questions and more. Then I thought: I’m getting a bit cranky now, but I think he’s a really nice guy, really. And I think he just needs to be himself more.”
HLF8 presenter Sam Hagens: “We have been in contact with the person who is in his earpiece and who says: ‘It was not too bad, he really did it himself.’ But that doesn’t feel quite right to you, does it?”
Patricia: “I would say that too.”
‘I would say that too!’
Sam refers to Antoinnette Scheulderman, top interviewer and confidant of Linda de Mol. She denounces the juice about Rob and states that all interviewers have earpieces in them.
However, there is a difference between wearing an earpiece and being a ventriloquist dummy, Patricia thinks. “Of course it’s about me and things he asked. I just thought it would be a more fun and light-hearted interview. At first I was also laughing, but then I thought: there is nothing to laugh about at all.”
