Residents of Spanish villages evacuated due to forest fires

About 600 residents of eight villages have been evacuated due to forest fires in northeastern Spain, in the province of Zamora. The fires are raging in the Sierra de la Culebra mountain range, not far from the border with Portugal: an area of ​​at least 9,000 hectares has already been destroyed. This is reported by the Spanish public broadcaster RTVE on the authority of the fire brigade.
