In the video in question, Coldeweijer made, according to Hazes, ‘incorrect and very hurtful statements’ about Hazes’ role in the leaking of a personal letter from her son André Hazes to his ex Sarah van Soelen. Coldeweijer also made statements about the consequences that would have for the relationship between mother and son Hazes.

Jaap Versteeg, Hazes’ lawyer, previously told the ANP that Hazes ‘can take a beating’, but that Coldeweijer’s statements go ‘beyond all limits’. He therefore believes that sharing such ‘gossip’ should stop.

“It concerns the statement that Rachel Hazes would have leaked a letter written by her son to Coldeweijer, that Rachel Hazes intervened in her own interest in the treatment of her son in a clinic in Spain, that Hazes would be very narcissistic and manipulative. , that she wants to keep control over her son, that he is forever in her power and that André Hazes has definitively broken contact with his mother as a result of the leak of the letter,” Hazes’ lawyer said.
