AMSTERDAM – Frans Körver, who died at the age of 87, was a trainer from a completely different era. With men like Fritz Korbach, Simon Kistemaker, Bert Jacobs and Barry Hughes, the Limburger gave color to Dutch football in the seventies, eighties and nineties. Körver was a real promotion specialist. He managed to lead a club to the highest level no fewer than six times, once more than contemporary Korbach. That is a record that will undoubtedly never be broken.
