Prime Minister Rutte and Minister Jetten for Climate and Energy will attend a summit on wind energy in the North Sea in Esbjerg in Denmark on Wednesday 18 May.
During this summit, the Prime Ministers and Ministers for Climate and Energy of Denmark, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, the President of the European Commission, the European Commissioner for Energy and directors of energy companies will discuss raising ambitions with regard to the extraction of wind energy in the North Sea. Two declarations will be signed – one by the Prime Ministers and one by the Ministers for Energy and Climate – setting out the joint vision for wind energy in the North Sea.
The summit starts with a panel discussion, after which various parts of the port of Esbjerg are visited.
