The police are conducting a check in the city center of Assen this evening. In Rolderstraat, among other places, pedestrians, cyclists, scooters and motorists are pulled over and subjected to an inspection.
In recent months there have been several violent incidents in the center of Assen, including stabbing incidents. The area was designated as a safety risk area in October.
That is why the police may also conduct preventive searches. It is still unknown what the results of the inspection were.
