The police intervened this afternoon after a man armed with a knife entered the Wilhelmina Hospital Assen (WZA). He entered the emergency room, a police spokesperson said.
The man showed confused behavior. It is unclear whether he also threatened with the stabbing weapon.
Officers arrested the man and took away his knife. The police interrogation should reveal why he entered the hospital armed.
