Only whole beef is served at the JW Steakhouse

The new JW Steakhouse also serves porterhouse steaks, of course Photo: Hemme/Rutter

A hotel steakhouse always serves the same thing? No. The restaurant JW Steakhouse Berlin (in the Hotel JW Marriott) is a new opening that surprises.

Chef and food visionary Friedemann Heinrich is in close contact with his producers in the region and only buys and processes whole cattle to avoid waste. While the meat here tastes fantastic, the vegetables are secretly the superstar.

Because old, almost forgotten vegetables are also served here. Order with the steak: Wild garlic and pearl barley risotto with buffalo burrata made from Kremmen, spicy primeval carrots and a whole head of celery cooked in charcoal. And the conclusion could hardly be more regional: cheesecake with honey from our own bee colony on the roof terrace.
