Artist Olga swore at the beginning of the year that she would become Finland’s biggest pop star. Now he has received four Emma nominations.

Olga tells Iltalehte at the gala press conference that she was really surprised by the nominations she received. At the same time, he feels he deserves them. Olga already made it clear at last year’s Emma gala that she will be heard in the music industry.
– Not many people knew me there. I was asked in an interview who I was, to which I replied: “I’m the future biggest pop star in Finland, hello!” Olga recalls with a laugh.
According to the artist, he is no longer recognized on the street only from Salkkari, as he has changed his appearance a lot during his music career. The artist has performed in, among other things, leather and glitter underwear.
Olga says that she also gets a lot of comments on social media about her changed style.
– I feel that I am the kind of person that many people like to pick on. It’s always something to say if I “irritate” something with my diamond panties, says the singer.
– I get a lot of all kinds of hate comments related to my music, my singing or my clothes. Then you just have to take them in one ear and out the other, he states.

Olga admits that sometimes it is difficult to deal with some nasty comments.
– One comment can’t be felt anywhere, not necessarily another, but it starts to sting when there are a lot of them, the artist opens.
– Then you just have to try to get back to the core and think about why I’m doing this. With these [kommenteilla] doesn’t really matter, they are a small part. But it’s easy to see only the negative, he states.
Olga has released three songs so far: New Bitch, Hit me and Stadium (Alicia). The singer’s debut single New Bitch quickly rose to number one on the Finnish Spotify Top 50 list.
Olga announced in November 2023 that she was leaving Salkkari and later revealed that she would become a musician. Heikkala joined the cast at the age of 17 and played Mira Angervo in the series.
The Emma gala will take place on March 8 at Espoo’s Metro Areena.
