No autumn after all? Temperatures will rise again next weekend

The wonderful late summer is not over yet. It seemed like autumn would definitely arrive this week, but that turns out not to be the case. Next weekend it will even be wonderful summer weather, says NH weatherman Jan Visser on NH Radio.

Rain and thunder are still coming our way, says Visser. “There will be rain and thunderstorms next night. Tomorrow morning the showers will clear up again. It will be cloudy at first, but it will clear up considerably in the afternoon.”

Strong wind

The temperatures are a lot lower, around 18 degrees. “But there is sun. And the wind will increase considerably during the coming night. Over the land to moderate and on the coast and IJsselmeer to quite strong.” The wind force will decrease again on Wednesday morning.

The rest of the week will be quiet again, according to Visser. Temperatures in North Holland are around 20 degrees and the sun regularly breaks through. It does get considerably colder at night, with temperatures of 8 or 9 degrees in some places.

Next weekend

Just in time for the weekend, temperatures will rise again. “On Friday the mercury will be around 23, 24 degrees. On Saturday and Sunday it could easily be around 25 degrees again. Only then does autumn seem to continue again with more variability, more rain and lower temperatures.”
