Eight months before the end of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, speculation about Lionel Messi’s future is in full swing.
A contract extension at PSG, a return to FC Barcelona or a move to Inter Miami in the USA – the 35-year-old superstar apparently has many options.
According to French media reports, the club in the capital is working on a contract extension for the exceptional Argentinian player, who has again put in a strong performance this season with seven goals in the league and four goals in the premier class.
But Barcelona president Joan Laporta and coach Xavi are also said to be dreaming of a return for the long-time club icon.
Another option could be Inter Miami. According to The Athletic, co-owner David Beckham’s club has high hopes of signing Messi. Before the World Cup, however, there will probably be no talks about the future of the seven-time world footballer, it is said.
