On Sunday, November 13th, the MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Düsseldorf. Taylor Swift, for example, won the awards for best artist and best music video, among other things. Gorillaz performed their new track “Cracker Island” with bassist Thundercat. The virtual band around Damon Albarn was awarded Best Alternative Act at the EMAs.
