A motocross rider was seriously injured this afternoon on the Veenakkers near Emmer-Compascuum. The man probably flew off the bend with his motorcycle on a cross terrain.
According to the police, it is a 27-year-old man from the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân. The victim was rushed to hospital. The air ambulance also came to the scene to provide assistance.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
