Milinkovic-Lazio, sale in sight: the Serbian’s agent is in Rome

Milinkovic sale, we enter the hot phase. The presence in Rome of the agent of the Serbian footballer of Lazio, Mateja Kezman, kicks off the great maneuvers for the player’s departure next summer. A transfer that now seems inevitable, even if in recent years it had already been taken for granted and then instead the Sergeant remained at Lazio.

This time, however, the premises are different. In the past Kezman, and with him Milinkovic, had remained at the window. They certainly would not have opposed a team change, but only if the right offer had arrived. And in fact the player had repeatedly renewed his contract with Lazio, to reaffirm his desire to leave only if certain conditions were created.

Now, however, there is no possibility of extending an agreement whose deadline is approaching. It is set for 2024, in two years. It means that next summer is probably the last to sell it at certain figures, because then the approach of the deadline would inevitably lower the price of the player’s card. But there is also a second element that pushes Milinkovic out of Lazio. The Sergeant turned 27 last February and has therefore entered the mature phase of his career. In recent years he has gladly remained at Lazio (a club to which he is sincerely linked) because he considered it the ideal place to grow. Now, however, the maturation has been completed (and the performance achieved this year, with 9 goals and 10 assists, confirms this). This is therefore the right time to take flight to a top European club. Delaying it still would probably mean precluding this possibility.

The great maneuvers, it was said, are beginning. Kezman is in Rome these days. He has already had the opportunity to meet Lotito and Tare and will see them again in the next few hours (in Lazio, among other things, there are two other assisted him by him: Marusic and Kamenovic). The agent of the midfielder and the Lazio managers will take stock of the situation. It will then be the same agent to test the ground for any offers on the player’s account. There are currently two clubs in pole position, they are Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United. Both have followed Milinkovic for some time and, at different times in recent years, have carried out negotiations which did not lead to an agreement with Lazio. They will be back in charge in the coming weeks. Lotito hopes that an auction will be unleashed, so that he can get a sum close to the 100 million which he believes is the right price for the player’s card. Whose entourage, on the other hand, thinks a figure of around 70 million is more realistic.

Juventus could also move on Milinkovic. The esteem towards him of the Juventus club is known and it seems that the same player would like to stay in Italy. An aspect that could turn the situation around in favor of Allegri’s team. We are still in the early stages, but Milinkovic’s future is starting to take shape.
