Lyon star “definitely a candidate for Eintracht Frankfurt”

22 goals and 15 assists are the impressive interim results of Randal Kolo Muani’s first season in the Eintracht Frankfurt shirt. An outstanding statistic that fuels the rumor mill and clearly questions the whereabouts of the Frenchman, who could flush the SGE over 100 million euros into the coffers. No wonder that the Hessians have long been exploring the market for alternatives.

Even if Eintracht Frankfurt vehemently emphasizes that they don’t actually want to give up Randal Kolo Muani, there is a lot to suggest that the SGE will be weak if a mega offer is made.

Apparently, preparations are already being made internally for emergencies. According to “Sky”, the Frankfurters have already taken a look at two players who should make the scorer forget: Moussa Dembélé from Olympique Lyon and ex-Bayern talent Joshua Zirkzee.

Dembélé, whose contract expires in the summer, will leave Lyon and is “definitely a candidate for Eintracht Frankfurt,” announces “Sky” transfer expert Florian Plettenberg. Talks are said to be already underway, and Dembélé are quite interested. According to the report, however, a sticking point is the salary of the 26-year-old. Allegedly, Dembélé demands around two million euros net per year.

Advisor confirms: Eintracht Frankfurt an “option”

The fact that the rumor is still very hot is underpinned by a quote Dembélé’s advisor made to “Sky”: “Frankfurt is a big club in the Bundesliga with a large fan base. We are considering this option and evaluating it.”

In addition to Dembélé, a return by Joshua Zirkzee to the Bundesliga should also play a role in Frankfurt’s considerations. The 21-year-old Dutchman once impressed at FC Bayern and on loan to RSC Anderlecht, but then moved to Italy to FC Bologna, where he can hardly set a positive tone.

It is “rather unlikely” that one will ultimately become active in Hesse, according to Plettenberg. Nevertheless, Zirkzee should be kept “in view”.

Another “serious option” is said to be the loan of Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, one scenario could also be that several of the players mentioned end up at Eintracht. In addition to the probable farewell to Muani, according to the TV station, Raffael Borré and Lucas Alario should also leave the Main metropolis.
