LSpring-Summer 2023 opened with the dusting off of long skirts. After last hot season based on mini and micro skirts, today it is the maxi models that are all the rage: and if there’s a favorite shape of stars, stylists and street style, it’s undoubtedly the long denim skirt.
On the one hand the return of the Seventies, on the other the denim craze in all its forms: the revival of this trend from the past was almost inevitable – even if, today, the long denim skirt is re-updated from different points of view, from the silhouette to the ways to combine it.

Where did we see it
First of all, the classic Seventies-style piece shows in 2023 some affinities with the clothing of the 90s and 2000s. Good or bad? The must-have skirt is called Robinson, and has a percentage of stretch fabric that makes it easy to wear. Yes, even with sneakers: the first detail that immediately catches the eye in the fashion show proposed by designer Joseph Altuzarra.
How to match the long denim skirt in Spring 2023
In fact, the combo is absolutely modern. No calf boots ordinarily as in the golden decade, no raft to the Britney Spears of the 2000s: today the long denim skirt is worn with a pair of simple dark blue sneakers, or at most total white. Above, the vintage cue is taken up by the micro cardigan in gray mélange wool, worn over a white shirt gathered inside the waist, also with laces. It being understood that the idea of the strings represents a fun but superfluous game, what matters is the mix with the cropped silhouette of the sweater, which balances the figure and the lengths. In addition to the point of minimalism offered by the shirt, which refreshes the ensemble a lot.
