A flash statement came from TFF about the foreign rule. In the announcement, it was stated that the foreign player rule, which was applied as 8 + 6 in Spor Toto Super League last season, will continue in the same way in the new season.


The official statement from the Turkish Football Federation is as follows;


1. In the 2022 – 2023 Football Season, the application of foreign national football players in the Super League, as in the previous season, on the condition that there are at most 8 foreign players in the field at the same time, by registering a maximum of 14 foreign football players, including those whose contracts are still in progress. the continuation of the practice of keeping it in the Name List; In addition, on the condition that the clubs are under 21 years old, they can sign contracts with 3 foreign players who have played in at least 10 matches in the national teams of their country, including the U14 national team, and write these footballers in the A Team List. Provided that they have more than 8 foreign nationals, they can write a maximum of 14 foreign nationals in the competition name list,


In the TFF 1st League, the application of foreign national football players is applied as in the previous season, provided that 8 foreign football players, including those whose contracts are ongoing, can be registered and licensed, provided that the clubs have a maximum of 5 foreign players in the team that continues the match on the field at the same time. It has been decided that a maximum of 7 foreign nationals can be written on the name list.


2. TFF Board of Directors; It has determined the acceptable deviation rate of the Team Spending Limits to be announced for the 2022-2023 season as 40%. Moreover; In the Club License and Financial Fair Play Instruction Annex-XII-D Team Expenditure Limit determination article, it has been decided to determine the relevant Team Expenditure Limit by taking the amounts higher than the calculation methods defined for the Team Expenditure Limit.


3. UEFA Nations C League 1st Group match, which our National Team will play against Luxembourg on Thursday, September 22, will be played at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
