At the moment it is no longer always possible to visit new families that come into the picture within five days, or to write a plan of action within six weeks to solve problems, as required by law. “It then takes a while, while there are already many delays within youth care,” says Pim van Uchelen, director of Partners for youth, which also includes the William Schrikker Foundation. With about 1000 youth protectors employed, the national organization is one of the largest youth care providers in our country and deals with children and families with the most complex problems.
