Wolfsburg (AP) – Florian Kohfeldt will not work with his former assistant coach from Bremen times Tim Borowski at VfL Wolfsburg for the time being.
“I can rule out that Tim will be here in the summer,” said the VfL coach at the press conference before the game against FC Bayern Munich on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky).
“We had a very good time in Bremen, but we won’t continue it here,” said the 39-year-old. Kohfeldt, who did not completely rule out additions to the coaching team for the coming season, surprisingly did not bring any assistant coach with him when he started in Wolfsburg last fall. In the summer, Michael Frontzeck will return to the coaching bench next to Kohfeldt after a surgical procedure on his face.
