Promoting to the Spor Toto 1st League, Kocaelispor signed a 2 year contract with 28-year-old striker Christian Kouakou and a 3+1 contract with 23-year-old right winger Fatih Bektaş.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at Kocaeli Stadium, club president Engin Koyun said that the transfer efforts are progressing slowly and accurately.
Expressing that Kouakou, who is followed by many clubs, will contribute to the team, Koyun said, “I ask our fans to be a little more patient to make the right transfer. There may be a mistake, but from now on, it should be minimal. We witnessed a serious happiness together this period. This city is happy and deserves the best of success. I believe that this year and the next years will be much better for our community.” he said.
Koyun stated that Fatih, who achieved success in Zonguldak Kömürspor, one of the TFF 2nd League teams, will also contribute to Turkish football. Saying that they have been following him for a long time, Koyun said that the player will join the camp tomorrow.
Kouakou also expressed his happiness to be in Kocelispor and stated that his transfer was both a chance and a dream for him. Kouakou, of Swedish descent from Ivory Coast, emphasized that he will fight with all his might for the club and the fans, and thanked those who contributed to his transfer.
Fatih Bektaş emphasized that Zonguldak Kömürspor had a great deal of effort and that he came to Kocaelispor by achieving success there. Expressing that he will work with the same ambition and determination here, Fatih said that he wants to be useful to Kocaelispor.
After the speeches, Kouakou and Fatih Bektaş signed a contract.
